In Awe of Water Droplets
"In one drop of water are found all the secrets of all the oceans;
in one aspect of you are found all the aspects of existence."
~ Khalil Gibran
There's nothing quite like the sight of sparkling water drops to move me into a state of awe and amazement. Enjoy these photos (and gif) taken on my phone with the Easy-Macro lens.
"Everywhere water is a thing of beauty, gleaming in the dewdrops; singing in the summer rain; shining in the ice-gems till the leaves all seem to turn to living jewels; spreading a golden veil over the setting sun; or a white gauze around the midnight moon." ~ John Ballantine Gough
“We know only too well that what we are doing is nothing more than a drop in the ocean. But if the drop were not there, the ocean would be missing something.”
~ Mother Teresa
"If there is magic on this planet, it is contained in water."
~ Loran Eisely
https://serioesecasino.com came to mind when reading how you used an Easy-Macro lens on your phone, because it's funny how the cheapest tools often reveal the most detail. The Gibran line about one drop containing all the secrets of the oceans stayed with me, especially paired with those photos where the whole world bends inside a single bead. I've tried shooting water on leaves before and always ended up with blur, so the reminder that patience matters more than gear was well taken.
